AIA Southern Illinois Product Showcase and Elections

This year’s November meeting of AIA Southern Illinois features guest speaker and head of NCARB,
Michael Armstrong. He will be talking about the upcoming changes to the Architect’s Registration
Exam (ARE). Please let any interns in your offices know about this presentation.
Also featured is the Product Showcase, featuring vendors from the area who have a lot of great
products to share with us. The Showcase runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and features an open bar
and free appetizers. Part of the day’s events are 7 CEU programs to help keep you up to date.
Finally, we will be having a complementary chapter dinner and our annual elections, so please make
plans to attend.

2:00 - 3:00 pm: Architectural Aspects of Structural Masonry – 1 HSW
3:00 - 4:00 pm: The Role of Doors and hardware in Energy Efficient Buildings – 1 HSW
4:00 - 6:00 pm: AIA Southern Illinois Product Showcase and Social Hour(s). Open bar and
appetizers by the Garden Catering.
6:00 - 7:00 pm: Dinner by the Garden Catering in Ballroom A (Free to all members)
7:00 - 8:00 pm: Presentation by Mike Armstrong, CEO of NCARB
8:00 – 9:00 pm: Chapter Meeting and Election
